  • Monthly Meetings Held at the Borough Hall -- 7:00 p.m.
         Borough Council - 1st Monday
         Planning Commission - 4th Wednesday
         Park & Recreation Commission - Currently Inactive
         Historic Commission - 4th Monday
                             You are welcome to attend these meetings.
     
  • Trash collection is every Wednesday, early in the morning – it is best to place your trash on the curb the evening before. There is a four container limit (32 gallon containers). You are responsible for obtaining your own garbage can or you may put bags out.  Annual Bulk Trash Day has been replaced by a weekly pick up. One large bulk item per week is permitted -  Bulk item has a weight limit of 60 pounds and 4 feet in length, small items ie: wood or twigs may be bundled, bundles may not exceed the previously stated limitations.
    No cement, tires, paint, batteries or appliances with freon can be put out for collection.
     
  •     Recycling is voluntary – Glass, Paper (NO CARDBOARD), Aluminum cans, Plastics - limited to  #1 & #2 noted on the recycle symbol.  There are containers located at the Borough Garage on Liberty Street – go under the underpass on Main Street, turn at the first right, the garage is a short distance on the left.
     
     
  • Billing Schedule:

  • Sewer and trash bills are issued the first of the month every March, June, September and December in the amount of $52.00 for trash and $105.00 for sewer.
     
  •  Water bills are issued the first of the month every January, April, July and October and the bill is based on your actual water consumption. There is a minimum charge of $45.00 for 6000 gallons or less; every 1000 gallons over the minimum is $5.05. A meter reader will check your meter from the outside read pad, you are responsible for keeping that area clear of obstacles and vegetation to allow for easy access.
     
  • Sewer/Trash and Water Bills may be paid in person at the Atglen or Christiana Branches of the Bank of Lancaster County or mailed to: The Bank of Lancaster County, P O Box 460, Atglen, PA  19310.  (The Atglen Branch is a walk-up/drive-up window only - Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

  • 2008 Tax Rate remains at 4.10 Mills
  • Bills will be issued by April 1,  2008

     
  • Our water is not fluoridated.
     
  •                           Dog Ordinance – Unless the pet is on an owner/tenant property,
                                 it must be on a leash. Pooper Scooper law is also in effect
